There is a single-player game in exactly the same format as Diablo 2.

I'm sure that the success of the movie made it an easier decision to make them the next playable race, but they were certainly not designed in some copycat attempt. I think it's safe to say that the Pandaren were well developed before Kung Fu Panda, even if they were not a playable race in the MMO yet. Even at that time, elements of eastern philosophy and martial arts were intimately tied to the Pandaren cultural concept. Moreover, the World of Warcraft tabletop RPG has had the Pandaren race since 2003. The Burning Crusade expansion was released in 2007, a year before Kung Fu Panda, and a significant section of the population had a pretty good idea of who the Pandaren were, even then - despite them starting as a "joke". Due to this popularity, pandaren were rumored to be the new playable Alliance race to be introduced in the Burning Crusade expansion One Brewmaster, Chen Stormstout was included as an optional playable hero in the expansion's orc campaign. When the expansion to Warcraft III was announced, the Pandaren Brewmaster was added as a neutral hero, available and playable on nearly every melee map.

Sorry about the late response, and I hope that this helps. The pandaren started as a creation of lead artist Samwise Didier and an April Fool's joke, but they got a massive response from Warcraft fans. Maybe this will be useful if you intend to play the game multiple times with every character, because then you can better plan your equipment loadout without having to "randomly" discover what works best. Since the programmers went nuts with the names and numbers of special equipment combos, the charts provided in the guide can help you decide whether or not its worth your time to hang on to a specific item with the intent of finding t he remainder of the kit or not. If you are the kind of player that wants to know about EVERY possible combination of weapons and equipment, then the guide can be useful. The "tips and tactics" provided in the guide are pretty basic - you'll figure them out on your own very quickly.

This can keep you from having to rebuild the character from scratch, but you only get one free reset per character. With or after 1.09 they added the "synergies" were one skill would passively give bonuses to another related skill (this may have been removed in 1.13 as I don't see it anymore) and even later they added the stat and skill reset rather recently which allows you to essentially reset your character if you don't like your build. Sorry I can't help you more but there were some improvements after 1.09 that were kind of cool. Bowazons were really broken back then because of a programming flaw with penetrate and guided arrow. When I did most of my on-line playing years back it was with 1.08 and man, there was some funky/broken things back then. However, 1.09 was a pretty long time ago as they are currently on 1.13. The one I got in 2009 had Diablo 1 with it (which is no longer included) so it was far from being one of the newer battle chests. I bought one back in 2001~2002 (which I think came with 1.07) and the other back in 2009. I've had two copies of the battle chest over the years and I can't recall what their initial builds were when I installed them. To be honest I'm not sure if you get the same (initial) build of DII/LoD with each version of the battle chest or if newer versions come with a newer build.
